Layout

You are currently viewing Version 2 of the site, which has no title because I'm a lazy bum who lack both hatred and creativity.

Since the manga lacks satisfying amounts of coloured artwork of those two and they two buggers are rarely still enough to be in the same panel. So my option was simply, Fan Art. I'm not the type that uses Fan Art in layouts, and I was too lazy to draw my own. I also seem to get allergic reactions to my own art - I just get tired of it. Frostious happens to draw a lot of those two, and she has a lot of talent, too! We're really close friends, and I asked if I could use her art. She approved of that, but just to be on the safe side - I show a sample of every layout I make and let her approve them individually. If I'm going to butcher someone's art, I have this need to show them exactly what's going to appear on the site.

Since I want this shrine to not be a shrine about undying love, the layouts has to be somewhat neutral. Frostious draws a lot of pretty pairing-y art, but I couldn't use that. X Marks the Spot happens to be one of my favourite works, and it was very neutral to me. Sure, Hidan's shirtless - but he doesn't have a shirt under that cloak anyway. I used that as the 'main image', making it stand out, while the artwork (also by Frostious) in the red areas was more subtle.

I actually made a lot of layouts before finally choosing this one. Yay for being indecisive! ♥ I probably made at least 5 of them, and Frostious approved ever single one of them! Most of them never left the Photoshop stage, and three of them even got coded before I left them to rot.

I used two fonts, Impact and Times New Yorker, the latter being dowloaded from DaFont, and the textures where dowloaded off tokyo, I believe. Everything else - except for the art - was made by me using Photoshop CS2.

PLUGGED FOR GREAT JUSTICE ♥
